General Info
- Please be advised that fraudulent e-mails sent by an impostor falsely impersonating as being one of the staff members of our hospital has been brought to our attention. The e-mails are sent under the name of Hiroshi Kobayashi, and offer investment opportunities to capitalize on the compensation money paid toward the victims of March 11th East Japan earthquake and the victims of the Fukushima nuclear power plant accident.
We would like to confirm that Hiroshi Kobayashi is not and has never been a member of our staff. Japanese Red Cross Medical Center is a medical institution, and does not offer investment plans as such. We advise anyone who has received such e-mails not to respond, and delete them upon receipt.

Outpatient reception hours
New patients
8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Present your health insurance certificate (Japanese insurers only), Japanese medical aid certificate, letter of referral provided by another medical institution, and/or similar to the “New Patient Registration” desk.
If you have previously been seen by a doctor at the Center
7:50 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Insert your patient ID card into the automatic outpatient reception machine and follow the instructions displayed on the screen, regardless of whether you have an appointment or not. Take your pager and the consultation slip that is issued by the machine once you complete the reception procedure. If you are not directed to a specific department, go to the new patient registration desk.
In principle, if you are referred to another department, you must register as a new patient. If you have an appointment in a given department but more than one month has passed since your last appointment, you may have to register as a new patient again, so please bear this in mind when setting up appointments. Also, be aware that if you do not have a reservation or letter of referral, you may be kept waiting for a considerable time.
Note that if you have a medical consultataion or examination without a letter of referral issued by another hospital or clinic, the Center will charge you 4,200 yen (tax included) for non-covered incidental medical expenses (optional medical expenses) in addition to the regular medical expenses.
The Center must confirm the validity of your health insurance certificate every month. In any calendar month, therefore, present your certificate and/or papers whenever you first visit the Center.
We encourage patients to have their prescription pharmacy close to their homes or offices.
